Anyone know anything about MR2s?

My question(s) is about a 1993 MR2 turbo. I found one in CO that I think I may trade my CLK 430 for and it's in immaculate conditon. Fully built engine from Benson, LSD, electronic suspension, it's really done right.

Anyway, I don't know a thing about MR2s as far as reliablilty and things that break most often. Can anyone here tell me any reasons why I shouldn't consider one of these cars?

I'm also thinking about getting an '04-05 Cobra, but don't let that interfere with the MR2 discussion. I think it would be more fun than the Mustang, but that's just me.

Oh...one more thing, what is the best MR2 forum around to start reading up on these cars?

u want an 03-04 cobra not 05 thts a gt500 if they even made those on 05 w/e go with the 03 420hp and more with a pulley swap

Depends...I know for a fact without having driven an MR2, that there's no way in hell a Cobra could keep up with a 350 hp, rear wheel drive 4 banger Especially through curves, the MR2 would smoke a Mustang. Plus they're lighter.

MR2s are extremely fun, especially with some balls.

If you are anywhere near approaching slightly larger than average in size it will be uncomfortable, depending on your build

also, the turbo MR2s are prone to engine fires, speak wth the owner, make sure he has taken the proper precautions
