Code Alarm CA-145, I need to reverse the polarity of the locks somehow, and turn the sensitivity on the alarm up alot, it doesn't do shit. I would take it to the dealer, circuit city, but I absolutely hate them period.

I hit arm, and it UNLOCKS the doors, whne it's sapposed to LOCK them, thats what I mean by polarity, and the sensitivity thing, you could role my car down a cliff and the alarm wouldn't go off.

It's not a polarity issue; the problem is that the lock output on the alarm is attached to the unlock wire in the vehicle, and vice versa. As for the sensitivity, you'll have to find the shock sensor and adjust it manually.

Sorry I didn't know what forum it needed to be in, move it if you need to.

^Circuit city was the dealer... (And installer, sorry)

Thats what I meant, the lock positive, or lock whatever was hooked up to the unlock //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

It's not rocket science; just find the two lock output wires from the alarm and reverse them. The easiest way is to find the alarm brain, cut the wires, and connect them to each other.

If you don't want to take it back to CC (understandably; letting a vehicle leave with this problem is inexcusable) then take it to a different Circuit City store and have them do the work. Better yet, make them pull it and get your money back...if they can make this kind of error and not notice it, then who knows what other sloppy things they did which will cause you problems down the road?

I'm glad someone understands. Thats the thing, I don't even know where these lock wires are. On my old code alarm brain they were all labeled //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif, this one on the other hand, I'm not so lucky. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif And on my old one there was a sensitivity adjustment for the alarm, a knob, on this one, nothing. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

do a search for the wiring diagram online...it should have everything labeled by number and color at the brain. Or start taking the door panel off to get to the wiring there. Might take a little while to find and finalize everything but well worth it.
