anyone know about car horsepower improvments

Ok I have a 07 honda accord with the 4 cyl and it just has no pick up I have allways drivin v8s but with gas you know.
so what are some reliable things I can do I think an intake is going to be first.
your car has a k24 it is a decent motor go hit up honda-tech.com

or trade it in for an 08-09 v6 coupe 6spd they run 13.9 stock //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Nothing you do to a honda is going to make it fast enough if you are used to V8's...

However... the easiest things to do without getting TOO crazy:

Camshafts

performance intake manifold

Cold Air Intake (fender well or behind front bumper is best, no engine bay shit)

header

nice exhaust setup

performance chip/ECM (not those POS resistors for you IAT they sell on ebay)

good tune

probably have to either get slighlty bigger injectors or bump the F.P. a little after those mods...

Or for roughly the same price you could turbo it and run about 6-8 pounds of boost. The stock K24 can actualy handle upwards of about 12psi on a completely stock engien but i wouldn't push it....

was it hondata making 400+hp on stock k24 internals ?

I did a "chEapBAY" honda build once.... Just a simple internaly wastegated T3 turbo (10psi), with a 3" downpipe and straight exhaust, tubular manifold, DSM injectors, cams, intake manifold, FMIC etc.... etc... did the entire build using only ebay parts and ended up costing me about $1500 or so and made JUST under 300WHP on 10# on a B18A1...

easiest way is to turbo it,other wise, your not going to get alot out of the intake-header-exhaust route.

greddy makes so nice bolt on kits.i had one on the 95 civic ex.i ran 8 lbs.of boost and it would keep up with some mustangs.

COMPTECH i think has a supercharger setup for the K24....

your car has either the K24A3 which puts out abotu 190HP and around 165lb.ft. of torque but does say using something like 10.5:1 compression or the K24A8 which puts out around 160HP/TQ but has a compression ratio of something like 9.5:1

If you have the A3 you would be MUCH better off doing the mods listed above and adding a little shot of nitrous or something because 10.5:1 is not really that "boost friendly". but the A8 could handle 10psi no problem an dwould proabably put you around the 220HP mark unless you did a bunch of other stuff too........ Either way unless you want to spend a BUNCH of money just stick N/A or buy a different car.... you would be suprised what 250HP feels like in a light car. My ***** Am was pushing close to 600RWHP and my 450RWHP RX7 is much more scary to drive, mainly because it is about 1500 pounds lighter! (RX7 has a 408W swap, because ROTARY ENGINES ****!)
