I got ****in shafted yesterday. Hit up the car show in Macedon, NY at the Log Cabin. Lotta old cars, Lotta motorcycles, Ricers, You kno the deal... Few peeps had systems, their shit rattled like crazy. A couple peeps had some good shit tho, W7's n shit... I was in the parking lot leaving, Played my system (2 re Sx's, 2 orion 1200d's) for 15 seconds, and got a ticket... Now I kno in Webster,NY the law is to break the sound ordinance, you have to play for 5 min + per every 60 minutes, and 15 minutes + per every 60 minutes if you are a business... Anyway anyone can help me? Ticket issued at the car show pulling outta the parking lot while playing for 15 seconds total. (Just did a lil leaving type show off shit like most peeps do, not being an ******* like the peeps that left burning out just bumped my shit...)

I know around here they are strict about the noise ordienence. There prolly isnt much you can do bout it now. Although you could take it to court and try to fight it, but I cant guaruntee youll win. You still have to pay the court costs tho.

How much was ur ticket?

Thats a pic I took of a someone comming out of a MECA show that was held in a paid for, rented public park for the show.....the real kicker of this ticket was, he didnt even leave the park yet, he was about a block away from the exit still and inside the park.

THATS bs...

finding out ordinances is easy, just go to a law library, there should be one at the local library, or at your local courthouse.

Ask one of the clerks to help you. Everything you need to know is in there.

I just turn my down when I see a cop.....but some times those pigs can sneak up on you. My dad is a police officer in FL and its like $90 there. I let him hear my set up and he was like " It that really needed?" I wanna that the law is that you should not be able to hear your music 25 feeet away from the car, which is down from 250 feet..

There is no Florida Statute sound ordinance, or at least last time i checked. Only county and city. Also, if you are parked on privet property it isnt a noise ordinance violation in most cities, its a peace disturbance and it has to be proven that you were doing it.

Also, to the original poster, ebonics and typeing (or speaking for that matter) like a reatard is worse than bad spelling or grammar. Type right or dont post your BS. I stopped reading at the 2nd sentence and then skimmed through the rest of the posts to get an idea of what you where talking about.

when i had got a noise ordinace here in ohio, the law was like if they can here ur system from like 15 feet away its considered a noise ordinance, so the way i beat it was that i told the judge the officer had no way of measuring how far i was from him to know if i was worthy of the ticket, case dismissed.

^same idea with traffic tickets. The officer has to prove the speedometer (in the case he passed you) or radar gun was in +-1mph calibration.

the thing is some cities noise ordinances are so strict, techinally stock exausts would violate them. Especially on some of the louder vehicles like the SRT-4. I beleive that its above 100dB inside 50ft where i live but in somplaces in other cities ive read as quiet as 80dB

say 100dB 1m from the tail pipe would be 90dB 10m from the tail pipe and still 80dB 100m from the tail pipe.
