Anyone into Graffitti?

I feel like, properly done, dumping trash on someone else's lawn is an artform. I guess we are both artists, we just work in different mediums.

The government pays for grafitti around here...I have never seen a govt expenditure for dumping trash on people's lawns.

there's allot of tagger's out here in utah... and allot of nice art work on buildings and trains.... saw a train with the whole side coverd yesterday... i work down by the railroad

I would think most grafitti is done in public areas or dilapidated buildings...not brand new facilities.

there's a huge building here that there gunna tear down for a walmart.. and the owner of the property has allowed them to tag it.. there are some bad *** tag's on it...

I really don't care whether the building is run down or new. First, if it's not your building keep your greasy paws off of it. Second, it makes the sorrounding community look like a ghetto. I don't know how the community benefits by having the apperance of having little shithead vandals running around.

If it is so horrible, why do governments pay for it to decorate parks, green spaces, etc. Why do local community leaders allow people to tag nice scenes? I am not talking about gangland activity...

For instance...in Nashville, there is a "Welcome to Coleman Park" done in a graffiti type artform.

I guees it's a matter of taste and opinion. Recognizing that opinions can differ, I think it would be nice to ask the owner of the building if he would like to have it painted.

Besides, most of the shit I see is just that -- pure shit.
