anyone install a amp & sub in new BMW???

i have a 2006 bmw 330 w/ the logic 7 surround.

i found the amp in the trunk and bought an adapter from speaker wire to rca

will this work to get a good signal?

will i need a remote wire, if so... where do i find that?

any help would be appreciated, thanks

Oh I was going to say it probably had one you could splice into. You can splice into the ACC wire, usually red, but its all the way up front with the cd player. If theres a blue wire going into the stock amp, check it with a dmm and see if it gets voltage when the keys on. Or you can check every wire going into to find it.

I would bust out a DMM and check the wires going into the factory amp to find the turn on wire in the factory system already in the trunk. Also, it is a factory 5.1 system? If so maybe try and tap the factory sub wire for signal.

yes its a 5.1 system... how do i know which wires are for the sub?

I'd say join a BMW forum, and ask around. e46fanatics i believe was the site i use to be on when i had my BMW. They are always helpful.

I know for sure they will have the whole wiring diagram.
