i was playing around with it at best buy yesterday... i want it but cant work it. i want it for the bass engine pro feature but all i can get to is subwoofer settings with the phase? how do you get to the center freq and the bass settings to turn the bass in the speakers down? otherwise how is this head unit?

dosent the 9855 have built in adjustable crossovers and equalizers and a whole list of fancy extra crap, i might be tradin in my 9851 for one

just a suggestion but you could goto Alpine's site and have a look through the owner's manual and see how it works????

I do not know how to navigate through the Alpine's menu systems so this is the next best thing, I reckon....

You have to hold down Menu for a couple seconds to get to the EQ, Time correction, and stuff like that, then navigate with the glidebar. I like mine, lots of features and it sounds great, just have to get used to the bar.

yeah, press the menu button down for 2 seconds and you'll get into the "pro menu".

there you can adjust the EQ, cross over and time correction. if you want to choose what type of EQ you want to use its in the regular menu under setup.

just a note.. its not as easy as turning up the bass like on lower models.

the manual has a ton of info on adjusting everything.
