Its an analog surround sound processor.

The first ever made for a car, from 1979 if my limited research is correct.

I remember the Gavotte was used by a few of the early sound off competitors, and I was hoping someone might remember how to set one up because I doubt the one I can buy has a manual with it 27 years later.

I had one. They don't have very good isolation on the power supply, so you could easily add noise. Not really worth it if you ask me.
