Anyone here run 8's or one 10?

I am running one 10" dd1010 in a ported enclosure in my 1997 Civic off of a Rockford Fosgate P5002. Thus far I am liking it!

As for music I listen to rock, metal, house, drum & bass, and some old school club stuff and I find that one 10" sub more than sufficient!

in a car a single ten is plenty for moderate volume SQ listening. if your looking to flex panels and windows you'll need more.
SQ is the main goal. I do not want to flex windshields. I just want clean, tight bass.

Like I said, I'm just afraid one 10" will be too much. I guess that's what the crossover can be used for or I can adjust the Bass in my head unit.

I remember years ago hearing a truck (s10 ext. cab) that had four 8's and it sounded perfect. Was hoping I could achieve something similar.

I have a 99 Dodge Ram quad cab that I am installing a small system in. My short term plans do not include a sub but I'd like to start researching (and plan ahead) so that I can add some type of sub.
I do not listen to any real bass heavy type of music and do not want the type of sound that 12's/15's give. I want a nice clean, tight "punch".

Thanks.

there are 18s that will have tighter punchier bass than some 8s FYI

it all depends on the sub and install

but i would go w/ DD 1508 as mentioned above

I had a 99 Dodge Ram ext cab & had a box built to hold 2 RE SX 12's under the seat. But, box was a tad bit smaller than need be for the subs, but it still got really loud!
