EDIT: I just read that you dont want any fictional stories, so ignore what i wrote i guess. You know just reading in general helps to expand you mind, it doesnt have to be nonfiction to be good for you...

I read very intermittently (SP?) lately i have been reading house of leaves, that is some trippy stuff, its a bit of a tough read, but its pretty good.

also, anything by Robert Heinlein is good is your into scifi...

harry potter got me through juvenile hall LOL.. the green mile was also a great book.. better than the movie... eye of the dragon by stephen king was pretty cool.. matilda and any other book by roald dahl is the shiznit!! elementary grade books FTW
