its like that for every mechwarrior game. i remember i had one for like playstation and one joystick controlled which way you ran and the other controlled which way the top of the mech rotated, it sucked.

4 is great imo, yet, the controls are simple, once you get used to them lol, but yea at first it was confusing =]

Not so for mechwarrior 3...

You steered/accelerated/decelerated with the keyboard and aimed and shot with the mouse.

havent played it yet. havent had a comp fast enough to run it. back when i had my xbox i wanted to get steel batallion w/ the 40 button console for the xbox, but i never did was a bit pricy for my budget.
