Anyone here own a 2001 Acura CL With Bose system?

My friend is new to the audio scene. He has the Bose system that came with his CL. He just wants to change the h/u and nothing else. I was wondering will the aftermarket h/u work with the stock bose amp? He also wants to keep his stock navigation and steering wheel controls with the aftermaret unit. Will their be any problems? OR is this just a plug n play? I've tried to convince him to get new speakers but he doesn't want it.

Have you tried Acura forums? They may have more answers. My dad has the same car without navi and its a complete and utter biotch to integrate anything with the bose system...

Acura forum sucks ***...google has nothing, so i thought i'd give it a try here

no experience with acura but in most cases if its bose, it all goes.

bose systems are well integrated, its difficult to swap out the parts
