anyone heard of speed wire so u wire 4 channel amp to deck instead???

i use it from time to time for any thing 75w and under anything more and true 16gauge or 14gauge is needed. honestly if i could fine a good brand of 14gauge for decent price id prolly buy 3 spools right now as i prefer the size. not to big for running through doors not to small for the current carrying capacity. but again the 9wire is normally small and i dont like running it for any amp rated for more than 50x4

The best buy tech said its better than speaker why cause u just run from amp to deck than each speacker to amp howerever if its weaker thats dumb
is your vehicle a trunk car with speakers in the rear deck? or are your rear speakers easily accessible (not in a door panel)? if either of my questions are yes than he's just selling you. also like said above that if your power is above 75 watts RMS than your better off running 16 gauge speaker wire, personally i'd say 100 watts rms or more. i have used speed wire and it does help but it depends on the application.

nope all my speakers are in door panel i got a schorshe 1000 watt amp kit off amazon Amazon.com: Scosche E1000 1000 Watt Single Amplifier Kit: Dog Who Wouldn&#39t Die: Car Electronics

I dont know what gauge the speaker wire is but I know this kit should work with a 400 watt rms rockforte fosgate sub. But would the speed wire not put this out right also I am using a aftermarket hu also

now how many watts RMS are you using on each channel? also are you replacing all your door speakers?

75 rms on each channel and yes all 4 door speakers
me personally, i'd use the speed wire b/c i saw you posted earlier that this is your first install. i'd buy the plug adapter for the factory speaker wire and ~17ft of speed wire. that way you can just replace the speakers in the door panel and just run your power wire on one side of your car than run your speed wire and RCAs on the other side the car. also i am not sure if your car uses a molex plug or similar between the door and cabin. to a lot of ppl on the forum this will seem counterintuitive b/c you're all ready removing all the door panels and trim panels but it's your first install and it'll save you some time and money.

i dont want my first install tho limiting my sound quality i won't give up even if it takes a week a speaker i will do it if its that much better, with my amp rms per channel what will i loose by using speedwire

I don't use this "speed" wire, but I run my amp wires to the head unit harness and tap into the speaker wires there. Speaker wire is one of many ways people go overkill with the fear that they're going to be missing so much and they'll be cutting corners. I feel we almost need to be constantly reminded that music doesn't use that 75-100-xxx watts all the time. It's there for big changes in dynamics. Most of the time it only takes a few watts to get loud.
