anyone heard of DB Electric? they have a H/O Alt.

A lot of the guys on the diesel truck forum that I frequent use them and rave about them. The guy (someone from DB electric) will supposedly include a new 4ga charge cable w/ an inline ANL fuse holder for an extra $15. Not the best deal but not too bad either. He crimps ring terminals on both ends and then applies some heatshrink.

I'm not sure what the idle amp ratings are though. No one has complained about that or had one fail yet.

Another good place is alternatorparts.com. Neither of these companies make them for every vehicle, that is the only problem.

I have a DB electric 220 amp model in my S10. I've had it for about 6 months with no problems.

When I burp my system at full power, the motor bogs down pretty heavy! Its only a small 4 cylinder so I can't blame the ALT.
