anyone hear of this car?? Seen it??

O yea top fuel dragters are hittin 300 mph right? They go in staright lines and still have trouble keepin it on the track
100% due to acceleration. No matter how finely tuned and aligned your suspneison and wheels are....when you have 7,000hp, one gear, and an electronically controlled clutch...things get nasty when the engine starts to "torque." More like the engine trying to rip itsself off of the frame. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Thats what i mean, they have plenty of power and long enough gearing but they cant even keep it together for a 1/4 mile most of the time:crazy:
See the above post. 0-500+ km/h in 400 meters...I'll let you figure out what kind of G-Forces that is... 1g = 9.8m/sec^2

Have you ever watched a top speed run? They dont go tearing away off of the line, acceleration is more causious and gradual.

I got my SHO up to about 140 mph one time. It was sorta scary. I can't imagine what 200mph would be like. But I'd LOVE to figure out someday.... someday.

Suspension, downforce, tires, and ride height make all the difference. 100 in my truck is rather scary... 150 in a ''highly" modded 240SX with lots of suspension goodies and i felt rather safe.

The difference? My truck is over 18" off of the ground, I have all terrain tires, soft suspension for off roading, and no downforce at all.
