wow i love your honesty but you are absolutely correct. not to many people on this forum own sony equipment because it is the absolute lowest form of car audio. i suggest you get some real subs.

I wish sony never quit making the old cd players... The ones that were silver/grey with the green screen.. They had little silver buttons all the way across the bottom for the presets..

I had one that lasted for years till it was stolen...

my friend had some round sony 12's in this big ass ported box and it wanged it was funny how loud it was it must have been tuned high or somthing it made his trunk flex and **** prety sure it sounded like a fart though

my buddy had 2 p5 12s in a ford probe, it got decently loud for what they were, but had no sound quality at all. i installed them for him for free, and he sold it all a week later, i wanted to bash his face in.

On the old cd players from sony, I still have one. That **** is ****ing annoying now. I change the track, it stops playing. I move it, it stops playing. I turn up the volume, it stops playing. Really annoying. As for the Sony subs, THEY ARE A PIECE OF ****. NO SQ, NO SPL, NO REAL WATTAGE, ALL THAT NEW LAYERS THAT SUPPOSABLY MAKE IT SO GOOD IS ********!!! lol ! Well I owned 2 sony 10 subs be4 and the only reason i got them was because the total price on them with the 1000 watt amp was $75. Now I got the good ****. Solobarics.

I have heard the new P5's and they sound like $80 subs. You can always spot the lower end equip. by the low price tag. Thus the inferior sound quality. But for $80 a piece, you could do worse. And I think the Xplod HU line is coming around too. Sony needs to build back a rep. Get that CEA-2006 compliance thing for their amps, and gain back some trust from the general public.

Well, there are $80 subs that are great for the money...(i.e. the RE line from re OR the 187 line from IA). The sony's subs just ****. peace

People get some descent numbers with the pyramid hyper pros... look at the realm of excursion web site for a porn vid... not bad for an cheap woofer!!!
