Anyone have opinions on PPI amps?

opinions..... in here???? what??? Are you kidding??? LOL......

I have always had good luck with PPI.... Course I dont run spl monsters either... I usually have more mid and tweet speakers than subs in my cars

I have a couple of PPI PCX amps BNIB I've never tried them....I bought them because I liked how they looked I have the PCX 1500 and a PCX 4125 I wish I knew more about them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

They're fine. I don't care much for the new look, but they're good amps. Most people will tell you that PPI was better before the DEI buyout. No doubt, the ART series was one of the best amps made. But in the later years, when a/d/s was struggling to keep afloat, PPI started to have a lot of problems. They're probably better now than they were then, but not as good as they were in their prime.

It'll do rated power and maybe then some. It will sound fine. If the price is right and the look works for you, I'm sure you'll be happy with them.

old school ppi is the shit. My little brother is still running an old 50w x2 ppi amp that is at least 15 years old. It's so old it still has power wires that run into the case and are directly soldered to the board. Sounds fine too- I ran it until I tripped over my xtant in a used car at work
