Anyone have Boston Pro60's?

I have them on the -4 setting on the crossover. I'll have to play with the EQ alittle more.

There really isn't any room to put them in the kicks on my truck. I think it would lower the sound stage alot also?

Mine are mounted coaxially on the woofer and in the stock location about halfway down the door, right by my knees. I don't think they sound harsh, but then again I have some hearing loss from too many years of too loud music.

If so do you find the tweeter to be a tad on the harsh side? Its not too bad but they do seem alittle too sharp with some music. They are in the dash, stock location.
Yes they are!

Before I went active, I had to pad the tweets 12 db before I could play them loud in comfort.

Wow, thats alot. But they do seem to over power the mid alot.

You have your Pro's running active? if so how are they?

Going to active fix everything. Sounds great.
I would like to try them active. I would need a 4 channel amp. Do you know what your crossover settings are for the mid and tweeter? I would be using my Alpine 9887 head unit.

I did a 12db on both and crossed them at 2000 & 4000

on rap and reggae they are not harsh at all. i always called them "sharp" and i loved the sound.

but one day i put on jimi hendrix and it wasnt even on full volume and i swear to god my ears were killing me.

if you are going to use them for rock, i suggest you eq them down a bit lol

I think i'm going to pick up a 4 channel amp and try them active using my 9887.

If not i'm always going to wonder how it would sound.

Ok, I got a 4 channel amp on the way. So i'm going to give it a try.

That would be 2K for mid and 4K and up for the tweet?

Also, did anyone ever find out where they are crossed at using the crossovers?
