Anyone have a STEP by STEP guide to using a router

Hi guy's can anyone help me out I have just brought a router to go with a

It's the first time i will have used a router and jig i dont no what bit is best to use to cut the hole out for the sub.

( I DONT HAVE THE JIG RIGHT NOW SHOULD BE IN THE UK NEXT WEEK )

I all so wont to round the port's of and the out side of the box so it look's nice and clean.

So if anyone has a step by step guide to using the router and jig and bit's that would be realy helpful.

Sorry for the dum Question but this will be my secend time trying to make a box and i wont to do it right first time this time

upspiral plunge bit is the best..for cuttin the circles just mark ur centerpoint for the circle..drill a hole where ur centerpoint is, select the size circle on the jig place pin in the hole u drilled.. i always score the wood with the bit a lil then measure the score lines to make sure its correct then, if u cuttin 3/4 u want to do about 3 passes going down about 1/4" each pass...plunging all the way throw the 3/4 and doin it in one pass will eat ur bits up... thats that for cutting circles.. as far as rounding ports u need to buy a round over bit 1/2-3/8" roundover and just set ur depth on router and fo along the edge of the port

Thank's dude i brought this kit to go with it dont look like i have a upspiral ill try to find one then.

Just use the 1/4s inch straight bit. I think that is it in the upper right hand corner..

You can very easily do 3/4" in one pass with a spiral bit. The cut edge comes out cleaner in my experience as well. If you try using it with the 1/4 straight cut you will need to do multiple passes.

Try to get the pilot hole for the pivot pin as close to perpendicular to the wood as possible to make the cut a clean as possible and to keep from messing up the circle jig. Also use a backing board. My jig came with fairly good instructions
