anyone have a pioneer 8600, need help plz

Hi,

I recently got a pioneer 8600 headunit, its working great, the features, the quality, the screen everything.

However one major thing I cant seem to get round, manual doesnt help.

I set the random function ON right, so I expect when I skip a track it would go to a next random track like any other headunit, but it doesnt!!

it only goes to a random track if the song plays to the end, and with so many mp3s you can get on one cd ill have to sift through alot to get to a specific tune, dangerously taking my eyes off the road.

I cant believe they would leave out such an essential function out of such a top headunit, or have they?

please help!!

Use folders to separate your mp3's. That way you can easily swap folders and eliminate skipping through 300 files to get to the one you want.

yes, but say I just want to skip to a next random track, when I press right on the remote or control knob, it just goes to the next track in line!! with the random mode on, it doesnt make sense!
