My BPX's initially replaced a set of Infinity surrounds. I had the Infinity's crossed over @ 70 hz to try to get a lil more ful range sound from them, as they were really light on the bass/midbass and dominating in the midrange. EQ'ing did not help much either. Enter the BPX's. Swapped them in without changing any settings and they screamed. Maybe they are more efficient than the Infinity's or because possibly there are 4 mids and 2 tweets per surround (BPX) compared to one mid and tweet (Infinity) that made the difference. Reset my EQ settings to zero and lowered the surround level and they blended in real well to where they are almost seamless in the all around sound. Raised the x-over to 100hz to get rid of some of the bass in the surrounds and it sounds good, so I left it at 100 hz.I am interested in how you have your settings. Especially the BP's! What was it when they were loud and what did you do to even it out? What Hz settings are you using for all your speakers and have you seen a big difference in things with changes?
