Anyone had this problem before?(Internet)

For some reason my (Comcast)keeps dissconnecting. I have no idea why. I found that if I unhook the splitter and run the main line straight to the modem that it instantly re-connects. I though that was the problem but after an hour or two of using it like that it happened again. I reinstall the splitter and viola instant access. It has happen like 5 times today, and inorder to re-connect I have to do the same thing everyt time. I tried unplugging the modem but it wouldn't connect unless I switch the lines..........weird.

Your signal is too weak.I had this problem before.For every splitter you add in the line, you lose 3db of signal.When they wired my house for cable they did it the ghetto way (running splitters) instead of individual lines.

When you have digital cable, and your signal gets too weak it'll just **** up the picture.With the internet, it drops it.

At least, that's what my problem was.
