How do you strip them of DMR? I assume that means you can use them on any player?

i haven't tried it.. but they say it works.

Would make it so that the songs you download from the unlimited monthly fee service would still work after you cancel the service.

The songs you buy outright (pay per song) don't have the DRM.

At least that is my understanding of it.
