I just got a merlin USAMP in the mail today. It is a 4 channel. The board looks fine however when i turn on my car the overcurrent light blinks once, then nothign happens. Anyone know what could be the problem? The board looks fine, nothing looks burnt or anything. COuld it be a transistor that is gone?

It's broken, you might as well send it to me.

It could be one of many many things, if you don't know much bout electronics then I wouldn't recommend poking around but if you know your way around an oscope and a dmm then try testing for current and what not.

Will it turn on without rca's or speakers attached?

I'm not doubting you know what you're doing, but it's always worth a look to make sure your grounds are solid, most of my mystery car problems ended up being ground related, couldn't hurt to look.

lol you dont understand. I have a system in my car perfectly working. This amp, i bought broken and i hooked it up in my car to try it out.

The amp will not power on from what I see. There is something wrong with it that is preventing it from turning on. Im gonna get a buddy to check it out. Just curious if anyone had ideas. The board looks fine from what i can tell...
