i have 3 type r subs

rectangular box.

32 hz setup

using pvc pipe as the port

He needs to know how long of a PVC pipe to use, and what diameter, to achieve the desired tuning of 32hz with the correct amount of port area too.

I was thinking 3 4" PVC Pipes, but not sure how long to achieve the tuning. Any help here guys?

u r gonna have to know the disp of the subs to account for tunning with aeros

and wats the box dimensions outside

3 12" R's, lets say they displace around .15 each, just for shits and giggles. What do 12" subs usually take up in terms of displacement? Thanks for the help BTW.

with the .07 driver disp i would do 4 4" aeros since 3 or 4 6" aeros would be too long

so with 4 4" aeros it would be 20.12 flared port or 19.12 straight port each port if flared takes up .146 times that by 4 gives u .58 for port disp

so in total u would have 6.17net at 32hz

with 50.24 sq" of port area

and even if say each sub took up .15 it would only make the tunning go to 32.2hz so basically no difference

well on here some guys say general rule is 12-16sq" of port per cube however with aeros u can get away with half that so do the math 16x6 equals 96 u will have 50sq" and if u do 12sq" thats 72sq" so u will be fine

and 19.12 if straight

Not really. might want to look into slot port. or do 2 or 3 would be better 6inch aeros ported out the side of the box.
