Anyone Get Writer's Block

Ive been sitting here for the last 3 hours staring at a blank screen with no idea how to start this paper that i have to write. i have to take 3-5 poems in our Lit book and define and discuss the theme that ties the poems together.

first off when i read a poem i go uuugggghhhh what the hell did i just read. and then when i figure it out i go WHO THE **** CARES!!!!

i dont know i just had to vent. ive got this rough draft for my paper due tomorrow and ive wasted 3 hours not knowing how to even start writing. i cant even find 3 poems in our book that really tie into each other. its stupid.

seriously once i start writing ill knock it out, no problem. its just when i read poetry its like a foreign language to me. i just read a poem that was pretty straight forward that i understood about love and then i realize it was walt whitman writing about man love. i cant put a poem about man love in my paper lol i just cant.

Eloquent bullshit is the phrase my friend and I coined for school papers. Both her and I would write out of our *****, but make it convincing.

However, getting started has always been rough for me as well. Once I get going I can churn pages out like no one's business.

i get writers block every now and then when i try to write a new song. sometimes you just have to walk away and come back to it the next day. especially on a paper, because if you're forcing it, it's going to sound like it and this could cause markdowns.

I find it entertaining to use the biggest words you can possibly find. Its almost a smartass way of doing it since noone talks that way.

You can't get writers block from a paper since you have a direction given to you and basically just need to inflate it with hot air.

We had to write something on it. I told my teacher I couldn't do it. She said try your best. So I got up, pulled $5 out of my wallet, walked over to like the only gay kid in the school, slapped it on his desk and said "do your best". update is that everyone in the class was as lost as i was and wrote a pretty shitty paper so we got an extension to monday! hip hip hooray!!!
