Central Region Anyone from Michigan on here ever get together??

IA,IL,IN,KS,MI,MO,MN,NE,OH,OK,TX,WI
i am planning on having everything ready for the show that comes every year to the gibraltar trade center in taylor, MI. that is sometime in the summer, not sure of the exact month or day. its all over this thread when its getting close. thats my goal. the system i have now is no where near competition grade. but, the next one should be good enough for me to at least put up a fight. gonna be doin a hifonics BXi 2006D, two Alpine Type-R's @ 1 ohm, in a 4cf enclosure @ 36hz. Now, all i need to do is ACTUALLY BUY THE STUFF, and install the **** thing!!!
where you at in warren? i used to live by 696 and van dyke and 8 1/2 mile and dequindre. at these shows do they allow just spectators? i don't have competition level system but i could enter just so i can get my car metered //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif i know nothing about the rules and regulations of comps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

As far as i know, all are welcome. i think to have your system metered, you have to enter by paying a fee. but, even if you dont have a GREAT system, i would go for it, if for nothing else, to see where you are. that way, if you want to upgrade, you have an idea of where you already are at, and can at least judge somewhat the improvement. The IASCA website should have the '07 schedule up by now, but they dont. so, keep an eye out for events that are in your area. Here is the link to IASCA.... http://www.iasca.com/

Don't know if anyone even looks here anymore, but i finally found when the Taylor dB Drag is going to be. Check the link for info! Hope to see some Michigan folks there. I'll have the next system ready by then, so I will be there for sure!
long ways away. i'll only have 2 rl-p's in a sealed box so no competing for me. i'll most likely be living in the detroit area by then. i'd have to go check it out

noticed you want to start a group. what exactly is that about? i don't live in detroit but plan to come may

the show in talyor was a great show last year and is always a good one who ever can make it should you will see some high class competers from all over the place, doing high 150's in street and all the way up to the 170's from possible extream guys that come. its a great show.

Iceteebone - Just looking to get some people from around my area together to hang out and show off their set-up's. Not looking for any "pay clubs" or anything like that, just some people that enjoy car audio and have systems. And, to me, it won't matter if they have a $500 setup or a $5,000 setup. Just looking for enthusiasts who want to make some noise and show off a bit. Also, you will have to let me know where you are located when/if you move. Would like to find as many people that are close to here so I can have meet-ups more often.

sologlocrx - I got to go to the Taylor show last year, and i agree. it was a great turn-out and great show all-around. I am trying to get as many people together by spring to start a little (or maybe not so little) car audio group in the Detroit/Warren area. I see you are from the Jackson area. Being that that is only 1.25-1.5 hours from here, you should consider yourself invited as well. i don't care if people are from the UP, I just want to get some people together who ENJOY car audio. Please, spread the word. I started a thread about it, but word-of-mouth is almost always better. Thanks!

Hey geo did you see this van there?

TheMommyVan: I may have seen that van, but with the amount of vehicles and equipment that i saw there, it all started to run together. I was really interested in the competitions. I was hangin around there most of the time that i was there. And, to add to the confusion, i was there with my pregnant sister, and she went into labor 2.5 hours after we got there. So, my recollection of the days events are a bit fuzzy, as i had to cut it short and make a run for Oakwood Heritage Hospital. So, I hope to have a little LESS excitement this year.

Profundus-Sanus, no they do not have a term-lab, i beleave i am the only one in the area, maybe even the lower par tof the state with a term-lab. they did a show, they used a old meter that wasnt calibrated or anything, lets just say i was doing over a 160 on it. but it was a good show.

x2 on being surprised that nobody around Detroit has a TL. I thought for sure that someone would. Jackson isn't that far away, though. About an hour and 15 minutes from me. sologlocrx, you ever consider having some folks out to your area for a little TL time? Might be an idea for the spring/summer. Let us know.
