Anyone familiar with profile amps?

You bought a ca800, the same amp I have. IMO they are pretty well built. I dont have mine installed yet, should have it in afew days though. Everyone ive talked to with experience with profile say they do at or very close to rated power, dont usually overheat and are well worth the money.

Nice thanks for warm words, it was like hunny on my heart. By the rule of thumb you get what you pay for but other amps are way too expensive. Good to know that I am not the only one buying it here. How much did u pay btw?

Profile amps are good for the money. But every single one that Ive owned got hot way too fast //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I paid something like $74 shipped, maybe less. Pretty good deal if you ask me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yea, i have a Profile CL300, and its a **** good amp. Ive had if for about a year, hooked up in my room on a Rockford 12", not a excellent sub but 400 watts. I have also had it hooked up on two P2's, though not mine, and it pushed both of them pretty good for the amount of money i spent. My amp looks bad ***, and it does get hot quickly, but it works out for me in my room, and probably most people because you dont build a high bass performance system off a 300 watt amp. Paid $75 for mine shipped, very good amps for the money. Hope this helps.

I've owned several Profiles, all 'California' units ~ 3 SX-series (like the blue one above), 2 CA-series (the replacement for the SX'es), and one Clarus, and liked every one of 'em. Almost rated power, fairly clean, and for the money they're really tough to beat for budget amps.

I've had friends that had Baja-series units like the red and yellow amps above and they had reliability issues with each one. If you buy Profile stick with the California-series or the Clarus units and you won't be disappointed after considering what they cost.

I’m new to all this car audio stuff but I’m running the CA400M and it pushes my Infinity great. Even some friends were impressed, hasn’t gotten hot yet, but it’s only a week old. From what I’ve read here Profile is a very solid amp, not pro, but certainly not junk either.

I’m not cheap but I do like a good deal. I picked it up new off E-bay for $52 shipped. I thought I got a good deal. I think I finally got it dialed in. I’ve been adjusting it almost every night. My sub really bumps. Maybe for Christmas I’ll pick up a CA1040.
