here is my problem, its not a big problem but it kinda pisses me off. i am creating a spreadsheet, and like most you have to enter values and another box will solve the equation. well i have some equations that are division. and when the values are empty, the answer box will say "#DIV/0" . now i have been searching through excel and there help and everything for my answer. now all i want to do is not have it say "#DIV/0" thats all i want. i know that i am trying to divide an equation by 0 and blah blah, but i just dont want it to display "#DIV/0" . so if anyone has any help on how to make it not display that, but still have the equation there. i would be happy if it just displayed 0 like all the other cells. i am using excel 2007, but im sure if you can solve it in an earlier version it would still be the same. any help is greatly appreciated. again its not a huge problem its just that i like to be organzied and i think that makes it look un-proffesional.

so i could put anything inside the parentheses and it will display that when there is an error?
You could put anything within the quote marks "asdgadbf" and, in this case, your cell would say asdgadbf if there was an error. If there is not an error, it will display whatever number your division produces. B1 is whatever cell is your numerator, and C1 is whatever cell is your denominator.

Alternatively, you can use if statements. Check if the value of one of the other cells is blank, return the answer if false or return blank if true.
