I have an Alpine CDM-7874 and it has (as many do) all kinds of stupid BS on it like "CD RECEIVER" (really?) "CD Changer Control" (that's nice) and "50watts x 4amplifier" (do we need to advertise what this thing is "pushing").
Things like this belong on the box along with all the other "features", not smatterd all over my faceplate like acne on a teenager.
How do I get this stuff off? Has anyone tried non-acetone nail polish remover? I used to use that stuff in optics to take laser etchings off of lenses without damaging the plastic/poly. I just don't know if it will work for this application, and most importantly, if it will give the screen a haze from the chemical.
Anybody tried this or something else to remove the ad's?
Thanks for your time.
