Anyone ever tried using their phones as wifi for their Xbox?

Hey guys going camping this weekend and its looking like thunderstorms tonite so we're gonna more than likely be staying in the camper, anyone ever try using their smartphone (3g) as a hotspot and hooked up their 360 to use for online Call Of Duty? Think it will work? or think it will Fail?

I'd check your connection speed and see if it's fast enough to support xbox.

on 3g... WAAAYYYYY too slow.... if you have a verizon 4g phone, it could work, but you have to get it set up to run the wifi as adhoc

It can work. My cousin in the air force tried the same thing. You wont like it tho.

consoles are network hogs. especially for a game like COD you're going to experience a whole lotta lag.
