Anyone ever drink alone?

I RARELY drink alone. It has been at least 6-7 months since I have drank by myself. But summer in a college town pretty much sux. Most everyone I know has gone home, and my room mate (normal drinking buddy) is at work and doesn't get off till midnight.

There is a club about 1/4 mile from my house that I have went to alone before but I always know people there. Well the African-Americans have seemed to take over it since school has let out.

My summer school consists of Forestry Summer Field Session, and it lasts from at least 8:00AM to 5:00 PM most every day. Last night I was in the lab working on regressions till 7:00.

Just finished my first week and really wanted to drink tonight. Couldn't get ahold of anyone, so hear I am, drinking by myself for the first time in months.

So how many of you ever drink alone?

I do, and when I do, there's more effort to get drunk.

When I'm alone I skip the beer/mixed drinks and start off with shots, then progress from the running start.

I have if no one wants to go to the bar, or I can't get some people to come by and party. Doesn't happen that often, though.

Every night for me. I work a second shift so when i get home and its not the weekend i do drink alone. The miss's is up for about an hour with me and then she goes to bed. I'll drink and be bored of my *** the rest of the night and stumble into bed around 4. On the weekend we'll drink all night.

A dui will really hamper your social life. alcohalism > me

Just me and my good Buddy Weiser...I drink alone...LOL!

Actually I haven't been blasted since the summer of 1992. I used to have a habit of staying off the sauce for years, then hitting it heavy. I'd drink like a fish when I did drink and it didn't matter if anyone else was around or not.

However if you can handle your booze consumption without any problem, then more power to ya' and drink alone, drink with your dear Old Grandad or the brothers Blackie and Red.
