Just remember that the factory headunit most likely will have to stay hooked up with the car(relocate it to the trunk or somewhere you can find space) or otherwise the car might start to do weird things.

Unhook the factory wiring harness to the stock radio and drive it around for a few days and see if you all the sudden lose the ability to remote unlock/lock the doors, no interior lights until you put the key into the ignition, dash lights all starts to flicker and/or factory alarm goes off for no reason. Oh and the door chime come out of the factory headunit and into the front left speaker so you'll lose door chime. They might make a CORRECT interface module with databus hookup(they didn't before) but their built-in door chime sounds like crap.

I had to do the same with my Deville 5 years ago and let me tell ya... it was a PITA... it ****** a lot more because I had to figure it out myself.

naw just a pain in the ***.. dude justw anted stuff hooked up.. I didnt know whoi he was.. said he had amp kit and subs mounted in box already really just needed wiring so i told him 40 bucks bring it over. i had never even sat in one of these cars so it took a min to figure out how to get into the dash.. a ****** stable holds the gearshift on. then after i got in there has bose, some built in amp and cd changer and couldnt find wiring schematic anywhere on the net and had to hook up the LOC. Then he forgot his amp kit. i had wire but no remote wire so i had to make out out of speaker wire.. just long *** afternoon. I just hate not having all my toold up here at this apt when you encounter **** liek that.. i just got it done and said lose my number.. **** that eldorado.. lol

reminds me while i was working on it you got to shift it down into a low gear to get the wood grain panel over the gearshift and i was working on cd player at same time and went into some protect and the dude couldnt get his key out and he was freakin out and **** sayin i put it in upside down so i hooked the radio back up and it popped right out.. lol. some sort of safety thing. I hate workin on peoples **** when they are over my shoulder too
