anyone else's AA polys...

I'm running 2 in each door and it was 10 degrees yesterday and they sounded fine. I agree though to let them warm up for 5-10 minutes before cranking them.

Sounds like a possible wiring issue.

I LOVE my AA poly mids!!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

****... all this poly mid talk makes me wish i could fit mine in my doors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i'm fixin to sell a pair...

Why can't you fit them? Small magnet is nice. Make the opening in the door bigger and use a THICK MDF ring if needed.

I was able to add a 2nd one in each door of an Altima, so one should be no problem on any car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

mine sound fine in cold...

i need to replace my driver side mid...my dad kicked them when he drove my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif now i hear scratching

Was messing around with mine yesterday and changed the HP to 60Hz. I had read about tinsel lead slap if you crossed them below 80Hz, so I never tried it.

These things hit even better now and NO slap whatsover. Demoed them on a bunch of songs at LOUD volumes.

I need to swing by AA and give Chad a demo since I added the 2nd pair.

I belive lloyd (BigBassMan) did a test on frozen speakers. He froze them at several different temps for different amounts of time, and there was no difference in performance. I would check for other problems.

Yeah, I sold my set because I did not think I could get them to fit. I bought my set early on and was not sure of the performance but it seems that several like them so I might have to buy another set and MAKE them fit.

As far as the tinsle lead slap...I have not followed all of the post regarding that..so is this still an issue? I thought that this was related to only the early versions? When I had my set I never mounted them but never had any issues with them playing free air or wrapped in towels. It did seems like the leads were very long compared to all of the speakers I have seen over the years...even subwoofers. Has any one tried to desolder the leads, cut them down in size some, then resolder?

I was really looking at the CDT AUDIO M6 or ES-06 drivers but I might have to check out the AA Polys again given the huge price/performance advantage. Thinking about going 4-way next year and need a good midbass....
