Anyone else see gas prices today?

Why are diesel fuel prices higher than gasoline prices?

Historically, the average price of diesel fuel has been lower than the average price of gasoline. However, this is not always the case. In some winters where the demand for distillate heating oil is high, the price of diesel fuel has risen above the gasoline price. Since September 2004, the price of diesel fuel has been generally higher than the price of regular gasoline all year round for several reasons. Worldwide demand for diesel fuel and other distillate fuel oils has been increasing steadily, with strong demand in China, Europe, and the United States, putting more pressure on the tight global refining capacity. In the United States, the transition to ultra-low-sulfur diesel fuel has affected diesel fuel production and distribution costs. Also, the Federal excise tax on diesel fuel is 6 cents higher per gallon (24.4 cents per gallon) than the tax on gasoline.
State tax is usually higher on diesel than gas as well

its all supply and demand they really need to even that out though, Diesel used to be cheaper than gas and thats where it should be again. Its ****ing over our semi drivers and business, which in fact seems to be taking a larger toll on us then the gas prices because now price increases are spreading to goods provided by diesel trucks
yea, i know, i have 2 16 ft cube's and i spend 1400 a week on fuel...

2 yrs ago it was half that, the consumer pays in the end.

I heard gas in Dubai is only like 1.25 a gallon. They say water is more expensive than gas there.http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/lists/global_gasprices/

Check out the article, in venezuela gas is only 12 cents a gallon.

and our goverment is to dumb to switch to sugar cane for e85, instead they stay with corn which is half as effective and more costly to produce. I even heard that it takes more than a gallon of gas to produce a gallon of e85, the only reason the prices are lower is due to goverment funding, which in turn is our money

personally yes because thats where i work it is 3.69 in that town in my town it is 4.10 why the **** wouldnt i save that 5-10 bucks per fill up if im there anyway ??? do i go out of my way NO
And what do you drive exactly? Keep in mind that driving that extra distance is soaking up all that money you're saving on gas. If it's 39 miles each way, that'd be 4 gallons for me, or $15...not worth it for me.

I've been seeing 3.95-3.99 prices around recently.

anyone know why gas stations have one price for cash and one for credit?
Stores get charged a fee when you use a credit card, its cheaper for them when you pay with cash.

...and oil is down in the $120 range today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
