There's a chemical you can get at many hardware stores, (or at some gun shops) called "aluminum black"... you can put that onto bare aluminum, and it will basically make it into what's essentially a black anodized finish. If you can get the aluminum cleaned off (remove any clear coat), you can coat it yourself. Do that, and re-clear it (just mask off the surround, and spray it) if you like and you're done. The stuff is pretty durable, so you don't even need to re-clear it, most likely...
MIND YOU... this only works if it's REAL aluminum. Aluminum look plastic ain't gonna do anything...
