Old stuff like Merle haggard had some soul and feeling to it, So some of it is ok. This new stuff is so transparent. You can see right through the crap and tell it's a simple music for simple minds. But hey thats just my opinion. My old lady likes it and she has a fairly high IQ.

Older country music, or this new pop stuff that they pass off as country just because it has an acoustic guitar
