anyone else have 2wire modem problem??

Ill just be searching and then the ****ing blaster type virus alert comes up and its becoming really annoying. Nothing can connect to the internet, etc etc. Utorrent or limewire is not running. Ill just sometimes be searching and the warning will come up. I have searched my computer numerous times with avg free edition and spybot search and destroy. Never gets rid of the problem. My question is, has anyone else had this problem, and if so what did you do to get it fixed?? Thanks

i just got it a few weeks ago and have yet to have anything pop up on me. been working great. now that i say that..........

What kind of issues did you have with Comcast? I have had their internet, phone, and cable for over 4 years now without so much as a single problem.

Using Norton Internet Security 2008 and SpyBot S&D.

i have a problem with it resetting on its own. ill be on the net or xbox live and itll cut out for a few minutes.

i have 2wire under AT&T and no problem at all since I have owned it for about 4 years..

my 2wire model is Home Portal 1000HW

they had my connection set up wrong and i wasnt getting full potential out of it. and it would go out for a few hours at a time sometimes days. to me it wasnt worth it when all they would do was refund me for that day of service. wow a whole buck and some change......thanks. at the end i went over 2 weeks with it messing up and finally said screw it. got the bundle package through att. on top of it i had vonage for my home phone........so whenever the internet would go out so would my phone
