Me and my girl both got one on release day. Coming from a Droid Bionic this thing is ******* amazing. Quick as hell and the battery life is just incredible imo. Screen looks great as well. First phone ive had where the screen brightness didnt have to be at 100% for the screen to be clear.

Friend at work also got one on release day, when I spoke to him he said it froze and required a hard reboot 3 times in the first 24 hours so he planned on returning it....that's all I know

The S5 is what the S4 and the S4 Active should have been. Still on my S4 Active. No need for me upgrade it yet. Glad you're liking it though! Now root it and disable all of Samsung's bloatware... Which is a lot.

x2 on rooting. My buddy just got the s5 16 gb, and only has 7.7 gb of storage available. For comparison, my iphone 5 16 gb has 13.3 gb of storage available.

I have the s4 but thinking about selling it to get the s5.

I'm not sure it'll be too much of an upgrade though, definitely not as much as going from the s3 to the s5.

**** that *****. I've heard of a few issues but neither of my phones have had any problems yet.

Yep and i say its just more crap of samsung (purchased for my girlfriend).

I bought a s2 then a s4 then just got the s5 and all i can say is its pretty much the same specs just 1 ghz faster and also the camera was upped in megapixels with HDR+.

Now this is why i would rather stay on the s4..

S5 cons

-Released with knox in bootloader

-Camera takes less quality pics then the s4 which can easily be noticed (HDR ***** on it)

-Same cpu as S4, but made with new hardware

-battery life is the same as a brand new S4 (youll notice with often usage and charging with non samsung charges battery life will decrease)

I have the nexus 5 which out performs the S5.

The video camera records in uhd or 4k also.

I agree for the most part... I have the quad core s4 oc'd and undervolted.. had it for quite a while now and still manage to get 2 full days on a single charge. That's using wifi hotspot a lot too. I disable multi-window, eye view or whatever it's called and all of the other useless crap samsung has on it.

I'll admit, I use tasker to shut everything off and drop the cpu down to 200mhz when screen is off...it turns on data every 15 min. to update my notifications if necessary then shuts back off, as soon as screen is on it goes back up to full speed and the data is on.

My samsung droid charge rooted still manages to get a full day on battery and is very fast as well. It's several years old now.

Pretty cool feature tbh.. I don't understand why it took this long to record 30fps or so with 8.3mp's... baffles me.
