Anyone drive an old school car daily?

i drive an old car as a daily driver. 79 superbeetle. and i love it. air conditioning now bothers me, i no longer miss power steering, i love that if anything goes wrong, not only is it a lot cheaper to fix than taking a car to a mechanic or a dealership, but for the most part, i can fix it myself as long as it's not major..

Used to rock a 64 imp quite awhile ago in the summers on most days. Had 10 switches and 13" daytons.

I loved that car, but had a lot of problems with the hydro's and ended bending the frame some. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I miss the old days.

I've yet to drive a car with AC or cruise control or power windows/locks. I'd like an old school car, but hard to find in NE OH without being ghetto'd up or rust buckets.

I do now that its summer, 46 chevy panel truck

I always thought it would be fun to own something old school.
Im not really a car guy though, if anything were to go wrong I wouldnt know how to fix it.
so what's the difference between owning an old car or new car then? if anything went wrong with a modern car, you still wouldn't know how to fix it lol
