Yeah... sadly... but its ok... it gives you an excuse to buy lots of alcohol on one trip //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif What sucks the most is that it costs a LOT more...

Sweet! Sounds good!! I'll look into those brands and see what I come up with pricewise. I don't want to break the bank... but I want it to sound pretty decent.
I won't be installing an aftermarket HU... sadly. The stereo's tied in to the car's computer way too much to be pulled out, so I'm thinking of getting a high to low level converter. How do you all feel about those signal processors? worth it?
id change the hu if possible as it is a good idea to go alpine in the mini

I wouldnt recommend the recent Punch amps from RF, they were tested in a recent magazine and found to have a designed in uneven frequency response to "punch up" the sound.
They had a severe dip in the mids if I remember correctly.

If it was me, for clear sound I would look at the JL's, Helix (similar prices to JL on ebay), Arc Audio, Zapco, or the new PDX amps from Alpine.

I have the magazine with that review. There were two lines in the frequency response graph. From what I can remember, one line showed a bump of about 1db where the other one was about 1.25db or so in the lower and upper ranges. I actually have a T600-2 and T400-4. I ran them in my car for a few months after selling my Arc Audio XXK's (4150 and 1500). The T400-4 was running front and back speakers, and later bridged to my front speakers. The T600-2 I had running at 2ohms bridged. I was very happy with both their sound as well as their output (specially considering their small size).

I think these amps would be very nice for people who do not have alot of room to spare. I had them installed under my front seats.

i put a Nakamichi CD400 in mine, looks factory, the amber lights on the HU match the dash lights almost PERFECT, and its alot easier to just do that and install new speakers and an amp.
