whats the difference when facing subs backwards??? and 6 10s in the trunk of a Caprice would be flat out NASTY!!!Well, I have a 1986 Caprice I am working on, right now it's 3 10's vented box all sealed off into the car, no action into the trunk, seat in place, on a SAE-1000D. I have not put it on the TL yet, I suspect outlaw around 140-142ish, but it's only 3 300rms 10's and a SAE-1000D. New setup will either be 2 heavy duty 10's and a SAZ-4500D and a MUCH bigger port, or 3 heavy tens and same box as now (3x9 port) or I have a box plan for 6 10's fired into the car, not the trunk with a big *** port in the middle... Problem is I am trying to actually KEEP my trunk space. My current box doesn't go much past the start of the trunk lid it's all under the rear deck. The 6 10's would work no prob but would go further into my trunk space... I think 150+ out of the trunk is just a matter of sealing it off to where it all goes in the car and having enough cone/power. Shouldn't be too hard, just got to be a little uncoventional, too many people lose mad dB by facing their subs backwards in their trunk, lots of cancellation going on in there.
I mean a tunnel... couldnt find the right word lol u get the ideaa blowthrough? its a car?
mine is sealed forward.. what is yours tuned to?Well, I have a 1986 Caprice I am working on, right now it's 3 10's vented box all sealed off into the car, no action into the trunk, seat in place, on a SAE-1000D. I think someone stuffed a 15" in your trunkI'm pushing 155 in the trunk of my Lincoln with one 15.
No way mane, he has a Lanzar Optidrive, broham. There is a build log on here, I think a bonneville that was bassracing 149s in a trunk car...I think someone stuffed a 15" in your trunk
32 hz. Kills the lows, but need more power/excursion, limited by subs and amp right now, subs barely moving but anymore power they wouldn't take it thermally... gonna upgrade a little at a time, I had to make sure that it would work first, so I got 3 cheap 10's and a baby amp to try it out with. Tuning a little higher would yield easier numbers on the TL, but not worth it IMO, I like to listen to music on my shiz, not just 50-80hz burp tones.... LOL... I am seriously considering the 6 10's box.... but I think I will try one of the other's first so I have a good baseline for comparison of gains from one setup to the next.mine is sealed forward.. what is yours tuned to?
tuned in the 40hz+ range too I assume..?This is good for 151s in the trunk of a Civic SI (18" Solo X on a Memphis 4K):
Kid? I'm not the fool with a rental car. And don't call me kid, son. Now lets stop bashing OPs thread, little guy.Harassing me some more huh? Kid you just never learn.
