Anyone do yard work or landscaping for a living?

As the title says.....I have been taking this into consideration for my living but I dont know how much or even if it will be successful. I was disscussing it with my mom and she was telling me I would have to go to school for it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif I was wondering what would be the best way to go about trying to begin my own business. As of now I just have a new John Deere riding mower, a simple push mower, and a Stihl weedeater but if it were to become successful and stay steady i'd like to do that for the rest of my life because for some odd reason I like doing yard work lol. Any opinions or suggestions are appreciated but please if you have nothing better to do than bash on my thread then just dont bother. Thanks! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Contact Syko. I am also thinking of doing Lawn Maintenance. I dont think you need to go to school, if your doing the basic cutting, blowing, edging, trimming. But for landscaping you might.

Personally, I would hook up with someone doing it first or offer the service for free to select homes on your block as part of a "test run". Then you can judge whether to invest more time/money in on such an endevour. You should also learn the ropes from others - folks will ask you questions about how they could care for their lawn, what type of weed is that, would you suggest doing this, blah, blah...

It would certainly help your cause if you knew how to answer them.

With the exception of how to get me signed up for Chacha. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

well, i dunno how the weather is where u are but here, we have about 4 months of winter....so u gotta take into effect that u won't have income coming in for 4 months out of the year, UNLESS you help put up x mas lights and do snow, which imust say, if u can get a steady list of customers to plow there parking lots and what not, i know that the guy who comes and plows our parking lot at work, each time he comes out, he gets $1200.

or u can just tell them somethign along the lines of:

either 80 bux a month for 8 months otuta the year or 50 bux a month for 12 months.
