anyone built system at home?

it will get stupid loud for a home application and will sound/look better than anything you whip up,
I'm not so sure about that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

nearly every new(er) house receiver has a subout, heck before i had my receiver i was using an Aiwa shelf stereo and it had a sub out (it had tape decks too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif ). Just look for use ones and look for closeups of the back, or search the model for an owners manual.
but im lazy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

I've never had anything that had a powered sub out, never used a receiver in my main setup either, actually.

High-level outputs work just fine provided your plate amp has them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yeah im debating about whether to build a HT setup or pure radio... i think i might kinda combine... and build two nice speakers for my radio and just run them to a HT setup.. skimp out a little on the center channel/rear fill..

i meant the subout rca, not a powered output, but right mpst plate amps have a high level input

speaker wire inputs for you guys who dont know, run your main front channel speaker wires into it, then to your mains

im runnin a kenwood receiver that i got for free with all the speakers from my aunt im runnin 2 kenwood towers off of that and 2 aiwa book shelf speakers , and 2 aiwa tweeters that came with the book shelf system, im runnin the sub through a kenwood shelf amp, and runnin 2 kicker 12 inch comps off of that lol lets just say my neighbors hate me

Quick question for you guys.

Im about to wire up my 10 inch kappa sub to my JVC thd50 HTIB.

The online manual states that the JVC sub is 3ohms.

Should I wire my kappa for 2 or 8ohms to match?

i use a pioneer ht reciever then from the sub out from it to an input of another 2ch stereo pioneer reciever for the subwoofers. 2 punch hx2 12s. it works awesome and its as loud as you would need for sure. lol

Thats a peice of ****...Throw that in the trash for crist sake let alone that battery puts out lead gases....good fight /fail
i had 3 70 amp cosair psu's in my room at once pounded so hard..now i use a reciver due cuz its abit more user friendly

Dude, say what you will, that setup sound sooo freakin sweet.

I've got Kicker LP350 x-overs on the (old 90 series)Rockford PWR6.5" ,

and Kicker HP350 on the 4" RF coaxs, all run on a Punch 40dsm.

The Punch 60 dsm runs the Phoenix Gold QX 12 in a 1 cf sealed enclosure.

The CD is old school RF RFX 8103, these are very clean sounding units,

2.5 V out at only 50ohm.

Yes the wiring is ugly(I use this to test stuff I buy on ebay, and projects im

working on ) one battery in a large well ventilated shop is'nt going to kill me.
