The #1 thing Ford needs to do is change its ****ing logo. I swear they alienate half of the young market with that ugly crap.
I love Ford but they would do a helluva lot better if they quit with this BEEOTCH profit centered shit. Thy skimp on production more and more and I am really losing faith in the name more and more. THere is no old fashioned-make a good product- American companies anymore. Now they are skimping their workers, feeding the pigs in the stock market/profit sharing circle. **** them and every company doing the same.
Yes, and i am directly affected by this, my dad makes goodyear tires that go on some ford models. They just cut their production... The next round of layoffs will have him without a job.

Not directly related to Ford but more because there are not a lot of car sales lately... my mom's business has been slow (she's an auto broker, gets cars transported across the U.S. on a 10 car carrier).
Yah, I know that. Goodyear is also a lame, stinky **** ******* dick for stockholders too. He says whenever the stockholders tour his plant and ***** about the "lost profits" he gets so MAD that he just can't stand it.
******* dick for stockholders? The sole purpose of business management is maximization of stockholder wealth. That is THE goal not A goal. People who work for companies are called assets. Sometimes, businesses sell off property when it is not productive. Sometimes they layoff people. Oftentimes, I see these type of things as knee-jerk reactions to GM layoffs. If the company does come out with more marketable, high selling cars, the most productive assets have been let go, which hurts efficieny when demand rises.
I face this problem frequentlyt at work. We have test engineers that work on wind tunnels that no one else in the world has. If business is slow, then we pay them for sitting in a breakroom, picking up trash (over $100 per hour to pick up trash) but if we fired them/layed them off, we couldn't do the work when business does pick up. Those skills are not easily reproduced or quickly trainable. In the long run it is cheaper to retain skills even when they are not in use. Of course, I do work for the goverment, which isn't as accountable to shareholders as Ford is.
As a shareholder of Ford, I am pleased. As an advocate of the middle class, I am saddened. As a cost analyst, I think they are jumping too quickly.

man vosh sorry to hear about ur dad that ****ing sucks... my aunts uncle is was layed off from GM about a year ago, but now works at a dealership ? go figure.

well for the past 4-5 years my dad has been getting screwed over, along with everone there, everything is getting taken away, how the FUCK do you expect some one to have high moral with that shit going on, and no one is going to make good products when they feel like SHIT day in and day out
It's not your dad's fault... Believe me. THey use cheaper materials that are less durable, so they can charge the same for a product that cost less to make. Simple as that.
