anybody willing to teach?

hah i just learned from reading alot and seeing pictures, it wasnt exactly an overnight process.......
yea, i've tried searching about component installs and i didn't really find anything helpful. i'm just afraid to do it myself, because i think i'm gonna mess something up, ya know?

part of learning is messing up, you gotta dive head first into this stuff... It isnt hard at all just use common sense and if your doing something specific that seems wrong or ghetto then dont do it and then come ask most people in car audio are self taught ignore the douche bag talkin shit, its good you asked first... if you need any help feel free to hit me up on aim...

have you read the manual that came with the speakers? i did my subs/amp and speakers/amp by my self for the first time. i read the manuals first then i read online on how people have done theres. it just took alot of time other then that it was pertty easy.

props to californiaboy, seth, and wantedishere for the kind words. all i know is that i definitely gotta start lookin at some pics or something. i'm tired of staring at the polk and us acoustics boxes in my room. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

its pretty straight forward retard, and if your buddy's a good friend he should just do it for you and you can watch him and learn

Congratz to both you retards and idiots. You don't just go out and start working on your car because there may be certain things or complications that you can avoid by asking others first. The guy is a noob to installing and knows it so he comes to a place to get information, but you call him an idiot and a retard for doing so, now that is just plain stupid. I understand you learn by making mistakes, but you can also learn by getting information from others and following steps/guides and then doing it...it would be much easier.

To the OP, I would do as Californiaboy said, just take off the screws, look very carefully on the face of the panel, the sides, and the bottom. You will have to give a somewhat good tug for the panel to come off, because most likely it is being held in place by clips as well. Don't force anything if you don't think it will work.

Another thing you can do is search for a forum for your vehicle and make a post asking if anybody knows specifically how to take off the panels from the same vehicle you have.

It is a bit tough at first, but once you get the hang of it and after doing it once, its easy the following times around.

Decide where you are going to mount your crossovers. What you can do is see how your sub amp is connected. Follow the wiring route for that for the second amp. All you have to do for installation of another amp is get a ground distribution block for the ground and another distribution block for your power. You can also split your remote wire in two and run the second split wire to the 2nd amp. Only thing you will need to do now is run your RCA's. Just run them and follow the RCA's for the 1st amp, and you can follow these wires pretty much for the speaker wires. If the crossover will be mounted in the doors, you will have to run your speakers through the grommet on the doors. Make sure you have enough slack when opening and closing. Also, when mounting the speakers, make sure the windows are down so you know you have enough room for depth. Make sure that the wires connecting to the speakers don't get in the way of the window either. Check your installation or owners manual for how to wire the components properly. Hope this info helps.

DonPisto, thank God somebody gets it! The thing that really frustrates me about this forum is that there is exponentially more time spent on self-glossing and things that have nothing to do with car audio than teaching.

To the OP, I feel your pain. I have been collecting equipment for a few years now and have plenty of people who are willing to tell me how to do it and nobody to take an afternoon and show me. It's to the point where I'm going to take it to my local untrustworthy CA shop and hope that they can do a fairly decent job, while learning nothing in the process.

I'd be willing to drive out of state to find someone who would actually be willing to show me how to do it! But I don't see it ever happening on this forum. As an experiment I will write a similar post in a couple of days to see if anyone, ANYONE, is willing to help. I will post the results here. Props to 80 and Req, they are the only ones that have attempted.

I look at this like working on your house. I would never work on the plumbing or electric without someone being there who is an expert. To those of you who don't understand that, to bad! You're not me.

Btw, caraudiojunkyard.com seems to have a much better attitude about these things. Ironically, it shares a lot of the same members.

Yeah, but on caJ, not really any jerks.

Bah the guy is an idiot he's not even asking for help like a normal person he is being a complete retard and asking for someone to teach him.... bahahaha common.... you *****es...

this douchebag needs to start from ZERO.. mother ****er prolly doesnt even kno how to unhook his battery :p

a 1994 accord.. lawlz.. sooo eassssssyyy...

I suggest this dumb **** finds a website/forum specifically FOR HIS CAR like most of us do...

a kicker amp and that sub = secks? since when?

first go find a tutorial on installing an amp. theres bound to be one on this forum if not somewhere else online.

Then go to an accord forum and find out exactly how to remove the door panels (if you havent figured it out already)

then look up the thread on here about component installs...it covers deadening/baffles/and other SQ related installation techniques.

the running of the wires and hooking up to the amp are real easy, just come on here and ask someone when your ready to do that.

and since your diving into this head first it would be smart to plan each part of the install out in specific time slots so your not left without a car to use cause you couldnt finish it in 1 day.

hope that helped
