Like I said, man, it's my mom who needs the luck. Regardless, here in Kansas(don't pay attention to the location in my profile), in the absence of a written lease, Kansas law gives protection to verbal leases. Where verbal leases are unclear, the Kansas Residential Landlord and Tenant Act presumes that damage clauses are present.

I've already looked through the state laws enough to understand that there is a case here, even without written documentation. In the KRLTA, tenants must also give a written 30-days notice. They gave us a written 5-days notice.

There's really no need for you to pretend you know what you're talking about unless you know Kansas state law. Every state is different regarding tenant/landlord relationships; your state may throw out cases that have no written lease. Kansas does not. The only positive of having a written lease here is that neither party would be able to feign ignorance.

Hey my only knowledge comes from watching Judge Judy, so more power to you if you can take them to court, it just seems like with no lease that would be difficult.

Not surprising in the least. Hell, you got off better than some of the houses on nearby campuses here that I've seen that get trashed worse than that in a single night

but no, that is fucked up. I rented a house (still do rent) but when I left man I left that **** spotless.. and they were suprised.. Im like what.. thats what you do when you are done renting someone elses house, you clean up after your ******* self.

Nah im a good tenant... except for the hemp manufacturing. I think that's the only thing in my lease ive broken. And i doubt im allowed to post pics of that on here
