Well like I was saying earlier, I read a few hundred posts about them.... Some are from a few years ago and I still see the same people talking good about them... And the way they are built, I don't think they are gonna wear out soon...

I am new to the site, but not new to having good sound in my car. Hell I was competeing with 2 12s in the mid 80s.

This site is were I just found out about RE subs. Have been reading a lot of old threads about them and it looks like REs it is.

Why not have a boner for a sub with 8.9" of xmax? We've just quadrupled the xmax of any other sub on the market.

for me personally, i just dont see the need for all that xmax, especially if we are talking, for example, about more sq focused application - the sub will barely use half its xmax capability when in an sq aimed install.

for me its like a 250mph supercar - in a way its nice to know it can do it, BUT will i ever go 250mph? i very much doubt it. why have an 'extra' and pay 'extra' for it if you dont want/need to use it. just to tell others about the excursion game? how many of you honestly pound your x x x's to its limits, just so you can see the logo move a bit. if the answer is many of you, you got to ask yourselves why. it certainly aint to listen to music.

not everytime i turn it on...but definetly nice to be able to do.....and i doubt that the xmx was made to be in a sq dedicated system
