Here are some reviews of the 12" version that I discovered:
"cant anyone get me one of these? mine was stolen a couple years ago, and i just got my stolen box back, that sub performed unbelievabley in this box, my friend had 2 concept pt 15"s, he was hitting 152.2db, and still swears that my single 12" was liouder and at a much lower frequency, i payed $300 for the PT 12, not now have the $750 eclipse titainium 15" and i still wish i had that **** PT 12" back you could over power it all day long and never smell the VC, where with my TI eclipse, i have smelled the VC a couple times, havn't blown it yet but a $750 15" shouldn't blow to easy anyways back to the concpt, even i couldn't blow it, you could turn it all the way up, and beyond on a 20hz tone and let it sit there all day my friend with the 2 PT 15"s said it was a fluke and i agree, i garantee it was hitting over 150db at a 36-38 hz tone, and brian will back it up(his sites linked from my cardomain page) , must be the perfect box for the sub with the perfect resonant frequency of the car i rate this sub insane i miss it and if you can get me one email me @ t65804@lycos.com cause its apearantly not available anymore"
"i got this dual 2 ohm bad mofo in a HUGE box its a little over 4 cu^ft with the port and i got a MTX 1000d (1,200w RMS @ 2 ohm) In the non-recomended 1 ohm load so there is no tellin how much power that is, The only word is crazy. I have never heard a 12" hit so low and hard i hit a 143.3 @36 htz!!! with the factory head unit (thats when the player started skipping) now i got a high output panasonic deck, and the difference is amazing its got to be hitting over 145+db the only one i blew was on the stock deck (cause of distortion i guess) had it on the new panasonic for over a month and havn't even smelled the voice coil yet! and its so much louder,i do not go easy on subs. This woofer beats the stroker hands down (previous sub) the stroker hit hard at one high freq. and thats it, this sub pounds so hard at the low freq. every 12" i've had bottoms out at low freq, and hums and crap, but i havn't heard anything but extreme bass from this speaker if you get this sub i would not put it in the recomended 1.5" ported box, that is reduculus Every time i ask some one to guess what my system is after they heard it, the response from every single person has been " two 15"s?" now if that doesn't tell you anything, all the pictures that fell off the guys walls across the street will. The SQ is great, it hits so hard, like beeing punched, the most durable sub i have ever owned, i would like to try the w7 though"
