Anybody have experience with DD recones?

Used DD's seem pretty hard to come by around my area, and there is a guy selling two 2512's around here, one is perfect and one he describes has a coil rub. Does anybody have any idea how much I would be forking out for a recone? Thanks

yep pretty much 100 and then if u cant do it yourself you got pay for the serivce and shipping which is extra

I would recommend buying a new basket too, it will make the whole deal of reconing 110% easier.

Alright got another idea for you guys. If I wanted to send my old DD 1015 off to get an upgrade to a 3515, if it's possible, how much would I be spending when it's all said and done?

I dont think they take in old motors to trade up.... they just put the latest and greatest soft parts on older motors

I can recone a 2512 for you. I only have d4 coils that fit though

Well that's doo doo, and thanks for the offer woofercooker, I'll keep that in mind. Off topic but I started the thread but, is the memphis mojo comparable to the DD 35 series? I know it's Memphis' comp woofer, but people around here 'cept for one audio shop bash on Memphis so that's why I compared it to the 35 series instead of the 95......any input? thanks

yes the memphis is comparable to the 3500. i have seen both subs handle 4k+ for burps no problem.
